Hello there!
I am Prem, a second year UnderGraduate student at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad. I am currently doing my major in Bachelor of Pharmacy(B. Pharm), and I am interested in building Java and Android applications. I am currently enrolled in Android Nanodegree Programme by Google & Udacity.
I am interested in contributing to BuildMLearn Organisation.I have read almost every blog post, ideas that are available of this org.
Wanted to ask few things:
1.Where should I contribute, i.e. on Original repository or on any GSoC projects?
2. Which Bug tracker are we using for BuildMLearn?
3.How do I dive into large code bases?
I am very much excited for GSoC'17. Looking forward to work on it . Thanking you in advance, Regards, Prem

Hi Prem-

Thanks for your interest in Google Summer of Code. Participating organizations have not yet been announced for 2017 (they will be published on February 27 - keep an eye on the program timeline), but if you are interested in contributing to BuildMLearn, you don't need GSoC to do so! Please get in touch with the organization directly to find out how to contribute, which bug tracker to use, etc.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Mary

Hi Prem,

I'm the org admin for BuildmLearn.org. Thanks for your interest in our projects.

1.Where should I contribute, i.e. on Original repository or on any GSoC projects?

If you are interest to contribute to BuildmLearn Toolkit app here is the repo: https://github.com/BuildmLearn/BuildmLearn-Toolkit-Android

2. Which Bug tracker are we using for BuildMLearn?

Check out the current issues, we have a release going out next week. There are many issues that are good for beginners and may be parked for the next release.

3.How do I dive into large code bases?

I would suggest going through our app on the Play store first. Once you understand how the app works for a user - you can try cloning the repo and trying to compile the source code - if you are doing an android course it should be pretty easy to compile. Again, have a look at the open issues and see if you can fix something. If it looks like there is something you can take up - comment on the issue and we will assign it to you. You may also want to look at our documentation on Github.

Thanks,
Pankaj Nathani

Hi, as a GSOC follower I would like to raise these questions for you.

- Is there any web related section of your platform?
- What data services and API's do you use for these applications? (A good API for your applications will be great and will be beneficial for app developers too)

Thanks.
