subtracting ferry on distance calculation

Hi

So our webapp has a calculate distance function which works good but we need to subtract the distance travelled by ferries.

Is that possible to exclude somehow? avoidFerries set to true calculates the distance by avoiding ferries so that won't work of course.

Any suggestions?
