HI Everyone,
Myself Damodar, one of the new mapper, I am here at forum to seek HELP from mapmaker forum and its member and Google Maps. I just started mapping to participate in Mapathon event organised by Google Maps which seems to be exciting contest.
I started my mapping journey by marking roads of remote village as they are not connected with major roads like Highways, I am not completely aware of Do's and Dont's of mapping, hence might have committed some mistake while mapping, but that dosn't mean that my intentions are wrong. Today when I started marking roads some one with "R" tag starting sending me negative notes to my edits and to my surprise after few minutes all my added feature start getting denied might be because of those negative notes or might be he marked me abuse.
Now I just want to convey, atleast that person might have send me some descriptive notes with help links stating where I am wrong with my edits and what need to be done to correct it, instead of directly marking me as abuse. Till date I made more than 11000 edits and this is my profile link :https://www.google.com/mapmaker?gw=66&uid=208849958738816196790     do my intention seems spammy or seems to deteriorate the quality of maps, atleast prior marking me abuse, helping me correcting my edits might be better option.

Google Map wants to encourage new mappers by organizing this type of events, but I fear if this is what going to happen with new mapper, who are putting so much of effort to make edits and trying to make map better no one will turn for it, its really discouraging from user prospective.
Please do help me with suggestions about what to do...now as all my edits are getting denied directly.

Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks to use the Map Maker project to help other user with your knowledge.
Can I allow myself to invite you to read the help pages about some changes that you make regularly!?

The best solution to avoid this kind of refusal on the part of a Regional Expert Reviewer (R) or Google Reviewer (G) is to include the reason for the addition or edits in the dedicated area to this effect, which is called "comments".

I hope this help you,
Marc-André Beauchamp. ;)
