I've come across an instance of one doctors' office having 6+ different Places, because each doctor has his or her own Place.

Should all of the doctors' Places be marked as duplicates?

Here is an example of the listings. (I purposely didn't write the company name in this post so that this page wouldn't get indexed for their company name.)

Thanks in advance! I'm looking forward to your replies.

The doctor's office itself is allowed just one listing.  In addition, Google allows each professional (doctor, lawyer, realtor and similar) to have a listing.  This makes sense, as don't you normally recommend a doctor over a clinic, and don't you normally follow the doctor if he moves to another clinic?

The best thing you can do to relieve confusion is to change the name on each to not include the clinic name.  So B is already set up right.  C should become Dr. Jonh Shie, MD.

Also, check the categories.  A should be appropriate categories for a clinic, and not have the physician or similar categories.  The professional listings should be the opposite.

There are 4 advantages to setting it up this way:
  1. The clinic's ranking does not get split up among the listings.
  2. Reviews get left where the reviewer actually meant to leave them.
  3. When a doctor moves on we mark their listing as closed.  There will not be any confusion with listing having the clinic name on it and "Closed".
  4. If someone changes there address in Google+ Local, it now automatically closes the listing and creates a new listing.  If a doctor moves and changes his address, the new listing that is auto-created would have the name of the old listing, and thus shouldn't have the clinic name.
