Hi
It is not anymore possible to add the google rpm repo to a Mandriva
distribution, because the md5 sum of ./synthesis.hdlist.cz is
different that the one in ./MD5SUM:
and it worked, because it searches for the 2 files in media_info/ and
not the current directory.
So: the files in . have to be removed, and the FAQ / tutorial updated.
Thanks in advance
JC

Furthermore, I just noticed that the repo, installed this way, only
has google-chrome-unstable and google-desktop-linux.
Picasa is not there, contrary to what is said here:
http://picasa.google.com/linux/faq.html#5b So I suppose there may be a lot of packages also missing :-(
Thanks in advance for fixing this!

Try running urpmi.addmedia without the "with hdlist.cz" part. The
instructions are probably a bit out of date. The newest version of
Mandriva doesn't even list "with hdlist.cz" as an option in the
urpmi.addmedia man page. Also, the Picasa packages are there and
they're listed in the synthesis file.

which works fine. What should be done is updating the documentation,
as Mandriva is very good for newbies, and they won't find this by
themselves...
And my mistake, here is the repository contents:
$ urpmf --media google --qf "%name-%version" '.'
picasa-2.7.3736
google-chrome-unstable-4.0.207.0
google-desktop-linux-1.2.0
So picasa is here, but an old version... The 3.0 beta should be
present (so that more people could test it), and what about all the
other software from Google? At least Google Earth?
Somebody from Google around?

So what I do not understand, is why the heck google-chrome-
unstable-4.0.207.0 is in the repository named "stable", especially
when there is a "testing" repository?
