Hello!

I have multiple portfolios and would like to sort them alphabetically
on their names. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

I'm wondering the same thing but not sure if our question is the
same. I know there is a way to sort funds within a portfolio.
However, I have three portfolios and want to sort the portfolios
themselves. I need to change the order of them. Cannot find help on
this.

Exactly, I want to do the same thing as well.
There seems to be no way to sort the portfolios themselves.
It would be good to have at the minimum an alphabetical sort based on
the portfolio name.
Currently the order defaults to the creation order.

Hello, currently there is no way to sort the portfolios. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Hi, I would also like this feature. Please consider adding it, thanks!

Workaround - You can recreate portfolios in the order you want them to be sorted.

Go to existing portfolio, click Edit, copy the list of stocks. Then create a new portfolio with the same name (probably you'll need to temporary add extra symbol to the name, not sure they allow 2 with the same name). Insert list of stocks to the new portfolio.
Remove the old one. Repeat the step for the rest portfolios keeping the desired order.

Thank you for proposing the workaround but several customers, including this one, find it less than satisfactory given the fact that sorting of data is a problem that has been solved many times over.  From our perspective, you might have well told us to use Yahoo Finance.

Any updates on this? It seems like a simple thing to implement and people have been asking for this feature for about 3 years now.

Copy and edit is fine for the securities names but it doesn't copy the uy/sell transactions with it.

I agree that this is a VERY simple request that has been annoying me since i started using it 3 years ago.

Just click on the column name at the top. The list will sort alphabetically/numerically

@Gerry - the problem everyone is trying to fix is sorting mutliple portfolios themselves - not the tickers within a portfolio. Add my voice to those seeking a solution to this minor annoyance! If it's a ton of work to add a sort feature, then please default to alphabetical. That way we could at least then force a sort by adding "a", "b", "c" & so on in front of the portfolio name.

Nice - but it doesn't save the sorted list

One work around that I use (and it saves changes) is to
1. click "Edit Portfolio" This provides a list of all your stock with the Exchange abbreviation such as.NASDAQ:FOX
2. Cut and past your stock in alphabetical order.
3. Save changes.

Add me to the list of people asking for the portfolios themselves to be able to be ordered. I mistakenly deleted my first portfolio (the one that should appear on top of the list of portfolios) and there is no restoring of deleted portfolios. So, I painstakingly recreated the portfolio, but the portfolio itself is now at the bottom of the list.

Google, just make the portfolio names sort alphabetically (rather than the current chronological sort), and everybody can simply change the portfolio names.
