Text rasterization issues

Hello,

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that some of the fonts on our canvas charts changed and looked bolder. The following image shows the issue.

The issue only appears to arise on Chrome, and when hardware acceleration is enabled (or more precisely, when #enable-gpu-rasterization is active). I updated my video card drivers, but the issue is still present. I was also able to notice the issue on someone else's computer. But most of my collegues don't have this issue, and are using the same version of Chrome and the same hardware.

Also, if I create a new user profile in Chrome or if I remove the profile folder in C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome, it works fine for a while. But after a couple of hours, the issue did reappear.

Resetting the profile using the button in the settings page does nothing. Disabling all of the extensions doesn't solve the issue neither.

This group discusses the Developer Tools feature of Google Chrome and not general web development issues.

You can search crbug.com for an existing issue and star it. If you cannot find one, file a new issue using the "New issue" link on the same page.

Please, do not add a "+1" or "Me too" or "Confirmed" (or similar) comment. It just wastes the time of Chrome engineers and sends unnecessary e-mails to all of the people who starred the issue.

You can reply with a link to the found or created issue and might get triaged (and fixed) faster.
