"What's New" Console Tab

I really don't care whats new, and it interrupts my workflow in the most aggravating way. I will be trying to debug something, hit f12, then escape, and then I will start typing javascript. Either please suggest or implement a shortcut to hide the extraneous "updates" tab in the popup console window that shows when you hit esc in DevTools, or make it a disable-able feature.
