I have seen this issue as well, but when I wanted to report it, I could not reproduce it.
Perhaps it is fixed in Chrome 53 or something.

Anyway, I noticed that it only happens when the value of the variable is undefined.

Perhaps are you zoomed in? If you can reproduce it please file a bug here: http://crbug.com

I am 99% sure I was not zoomed in. It happened on multiple computers. It does not reproduce consistently. :(

Yes it happens quite consistently for me. Windows 10 64 bit with the latest chrome. It happens especially when value is undefined but also in other cases as in the screenshot I included. Will file bug report.

Turns out the bug is when you are zoomed out in the developer tools. Press ctrl + 0 to fix. There is an open bug fix report for this in Chromium.

Since it looks like you found the bug report, can you post a link to it?

Thank you!
