What is this for? How to permanently prevent this? (causes my computer to run hot)
I can end process in task manager, but recurs on restart.

This is not a user forum, please, use the product forum instead.
Sounds like you have a rogue extension. You can try disabling/uninstalling them one by one until it goes away.

I just recently had this issue as well and finally figured it out.  It was a QR code generator extension.
