Developer tools keep flashing (blinking) when debugging code

I am using the latest version of chrome 51 and since I completely reinstalled my mac and installed this version, whenever I do sten I'm my code the debugger blinks.

It is quite disturbing. Do you have any idea why is it doing that? I'm pretty sure this was not the case before.
