Using GAM for Groups only

Howdy,

If I wanted to administer only Groups with GAM on a domain, will the setup process allow me to do so?

GAM can manage groups created under a G Suite domain. It cannot manage groups created by a consumer gmail.com account.

Sorry I may not have been clear.

I only want to grant GAM access to the Groups Settings API for my G Suite domain and no other services.

That should work fine. Just unselect scopes and then only select that API scope when setting up GAM. Skip over, ignore the service account stuff.
