Setting signature changes Send mail as option

Hi everyone!

Today I've changed an user's signature using this command:

gam user xxx signature file xxx.txt

and when the user sends emails, it shows his email instead of his name and surname. I've checked the "Send mail as" settings (under accounts menu) and now it's configured like in the attached image.

I've tried to change it using gam command: 

gam user xxx sendas x...@yyy.zzz "Name surname" default"

but the response is 

ERROR: 409: Conflict - alreadyExists

Is it possible to set back the original option using gam commands?

This issue came up last week and was responded to by Ross as follows:

"Assuming that your are on Gam 3.71 or higher, you want to update the sendas, not add a new sendas. (There is an implied add in your command).

gam user first.last update sendas last....@domain.com name "last first" default

Unlike add, the name field is optional with update, so you say name "last first" to indicate that you want to update the name field."

Yes, I've seen it, thank you. 

But, or it's a bug somewhere (GAM, Google Apis) or it should be warned to users "Pay attention if you use GAM to change signatures because the Send mail as setting changes"

Don't you agree?

Anyway, if I execute the command Ross posted, the Send mail as setting works, but it's not the same as the original (see attached).
