Hello,

Is anyone experimenting issues uploading applications to GAE? I cannot do it, it remains in the exponential back-off algorithm in 60 seconds "forever"... Also i have problems launching backends:

Error: Server Error

The service you requested is not available yet.

Please try again in 30 seconds.

My app is for Python.

Thanks in advance,

Jesús.

the problem lasts for half a day already, would google do sth to help and fix? i think google should announce what's wrong with it and the service level provided by GAE is really not satisfactory......

Having the same problem. Deploying Python27 it keeps checking if succeeded, then eventually gives up ("Exception: Version not ready.")

Same here,
Unable to deploy a new version (java runtime): i get stuck in "will check in 60 seconds" loop

aborted the update, did a rollback (which succeeded) and then redeployed, and still stuck in the loop.

Google, Please help!
Thanks!

I've also been unable to deploy due to timeout for the last 24 hours.

Same here. Has this issue not yet been acknowledged by Google? Ack.

Google has not acknowledged this as an issue. In fact, the system dashboard  (http://code.google.com/status/appengine) shows that everything is 'normal'

This is really frustrating to have no feedback from Google on such an important issue.

I totally agree with you. I'm thinking about moving my app from App Engine to another cloud service. It's the second problem in less than 48 hours, and the 3rd or 4th problem i have with App Engine in less than 1 month.

Do you know if premiere accounts get better uptime/service?

I'm a paid app, but not a premiere app (not paying the $500/month) , so just wondering if there is a difference in the underlying uptime/ availability etc. in paid versus premiere.

Thanks

I'm getting the 503 error on backend "frequent-tasks" for app "mn-live."

There's an existing issue for this; not sure if everyone who experiences this needs to open a new issue or if we should just keep the issue open since it hasn't been resolved.

It's happening again.

GAE dashboard extremely slow with 503 errors and couldn't deploy new version for an hour...

Same here.

Why is there no "system status" dashboard for admin infrastructure? The dashboard seems to ignore things like deployment errors, problems loading task queue pages in the admin console, etc. that seem to plague a lot of us regularly. I know there's an issue for it someplace, just too lazy to look it up right now ...

2 years later the problem is still existing. I am very frustruted how everything is still buggy on google cloud & deployment. I am trying since couple days and couldn't get a simple app running on app engine. Very disappointing. Not even the example starter app deployments working.

Hi Selin,

What exactly are you using to deploy and which error are you getting? If you could include the command you use (with any params passed), and the error you're getting, I will look into fixing it if possible.

Cheers!

Good day

I have been having issues deploying a node.js app. When using the command gcloud --verbosity debug preview app deploy app.yaml there are no warnings and "finishes" without errors. But when trying to access the url the error as below persists. I have only updated the gcloud SDK since and even after reverting back to the previously used version I dont get any errors while deploying yet it obviously does not work. can someone please give me some guidance?

URL shows: "Error: Server Error

The service you requested is not available yet.

Please try again in 30 seconds."

my app.yaml has the following:

#

# [START runtime]

runtime: custom

vm: true

api_version: 1

module: default

# [END runtime]

# [START resources]

resources:

  cpu: .5

  memory_gb: 1.3

  disk_size_gb: 10

# [END resources]

# [START scaling]

automatic_scaling:

  min_num_instances: 2

  max_num_instances: 3

  cool_down_period_sec: 60

  cpu_utilization:

    target_utilization: 0.5

# [END scaling]

env_variables:

  NODE_ENV: production

Can someone please help me?
Thanks in advance

I re-deployed with command gcloud preview app deploy --verbosity, then it works.

Hello there Yao Li,

I'm glad to hear that you were successful in deploying your application.  I would however suggest updating your Google Cloud SDK installation as many important changes have happened since the removal of gcloud preview on June 29.  We are now notably several versions ahead of that.

Should you encounter any issues in doing so, I would suggest posting to a new thread as this one is quite old.
