Hi all!
I would like to ask you for help on our critical one question concerning the API methods Cost Upload to Google Analytics.
I know that these methods have changed and the old ways have to work until 18 December. What will be further - is unknown.
I have two questions:
- Will off method "Daily Uploads (Management API (ver. 3))" 18/12/2014. If not, then when?
- Will turned off in the admin interface: User data sources (beta) (Administration - Resource - Custom definition - Custom Data Sources (beta)) If not, then when?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Andrey,
The dailyUploads method of uploading cost data is deprecated and will stop working on December 18th. But the feature of cost data upload is not going away it is being migrated to the uploads resource.  Please see the Cost Data Migration Guide for the steps necessary to migrate your existing code to the new resource.

The new resource has many advantages over the deprecated dailyUploads method. For one you can upload multiple dates in a single file, thus requiring far fewer uploads to upload historical data. Also there a great deal of flexibility in how the data will be treated when uploaded. Also now it is possible to upload cost data through the web interface and through the API, which was not possible with dailyUploads.

In the Admin pages cost data sets can be created along side all the other types of data sets, content, product, etc.. all the types of cost data can now be managed in a similar manner.

To summaries, dailyUploads will stop working on or around December 18th. You should have already migrated to use the uploads resource by then. Any data set that have not been migrated will be automatically migrated at that point. Any attempts to use dailyUploads will result in an error.

I encourage everyone to read the following documentation to help better understand the new resource:

Please let me know if there are any questions.
Matt
