Hi Guys,

I'm a frequent attender of this forum and this is the first time I write on this forum. Hope my question will be clear enough!

I would like to like to create a view with product id (product_sku) and the associated adwords cost by campaign, adgroup keyword and even search query if possible.

So basically for any product sold via adwords, I would like to associate the campaign, adwords keywords etc that triggered the ad that made that sale possible (converted clicks).

A view like:

product sku, product_name, campaign_id, adgroup_id etc

What is the best way (via api) to get this info? Where can I find the product_sku and campaign related info?

Do you confirm that via Google Analytics API I cannot get any adwords related cost (although on the front end this link is visible?)

Hope you understand what I mean.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Enrico,

It is possible. You will need to pull the adwords campaign data and the product data and match the campaign ids up. I've not tried this, so not sure how well it works, but from the documentation that should do the job.

Anyone actually done this?

Thanks Patrick,
it is possible but (via GA) you won't get the transaction ID associated to a adwords object but only the sku sold by that campaign.

Hi Enrico, You should try to put together your desired query with the query explorer.
The full set of dimensions and metrics are available on the Dimensions and Metric explorer, Which should also inform you which dimensions and metrics can be queried together.
Is your questions about how to get started with Google Analytics API? The you should probably start with Hello Analytics APIs tutorial for your desired language.
