Error 403

While trying to access data through the GA API I retrieved the following the message:

Ack! There was an error!

403 : Quota Error: profileId ga:xxxxxxxx has exceeded the daily request limit

Having a look to th Google API console only 10 K requests show up for today. But as far as I understood the daily limit is 50 K requests / day. Does anybody have a clue what the problem could be?

The daily limit is 50 K requests per day - but on an account level only 10 K request / day.
