a recent ride appears in my summary view as a run. Instead of 5 rides, 0 runs and 0 swims I have 4 rides and 1 run. Can I fix this?

What have you put into the Sport field?

I haven't touched the sport field but it contains "bike"

The file in question contains what looks like bad data.

It is broken into a few sessions, instead of one. Many of the sessions have no data in them, however the session that contains the activity data within this file is marked as being for a sport code '3700'. This is not a valid code. So we ignore it and use the code used for the prior session; which in this case is set to sport run.

Have you updated firmware recently or had other issues with the 810 ?

There were a couple of stops along the way, e.g a 30 min coffee stop.

I haven't updated firmware recently and apart from this issue there have bed no problems.

Progress Report:

resetting edge 810 - no improvement

importing ride from garmin connect as .tcx - ride now seen as ride. Acceptable workaround for the time being

I have this problem all the time using GC 3102 with my Garmin 510 to import .fit files.

My workaround is to...
1. With the Activity selected
2. Using the Edit screen add a 'Cadence' column
3. Copy the contents of the Run Cadence column to the Cadence Column
4. Delete the Run Cadence column
5. Save the file
6. Quit GC
7. Start GC

I have just noticed this happening, I hadn't been looking closely at my files after importing and paying more attention to power. Looking back now through history and it seems intermittent as to weather it imports the cadence as 'cadence' or 'run cadence'.

Build 3102 as well. Can did up / test original 510 .fit files if anyone wants to look into it.

a quicker solution is to export the tcx from garmin connect, then import that into gc.

Just noticed that after 'pasting' the Cadence data between run cadence and cadence that the average / max values aren't being populated.

I think the only problem with exporting tcx is it doesn't include the temperature data from memory, but I suppose I care more about cadence than I do about the temperature.

have just noticed that there is no altitude data in the garmin connect export so your method may be better!

my import from Garmin issue is now resolved under RC3.2 2

Keep up the good work
