If you have the side panel opened, with intervals, the highlighted coloured buttons trigger the range of Watts and Cadence that you generated during the related interval or effort. Quite handy really to see what you were doing and how you were doing it during a particular part of a session. Just my layman's answer that's why I use it

yeah...I think I got it.
It is just average cadence and watts for each interval.
