Porting Go to Linux on IBM Z Architecture

Hello. I'm with the IBM Linux on Z Open Source Ecosystem Center of Competency in Toronto. We are working on a port of Go to Linux on Z, and are hoping to contribute it back. I hope to soon have a builder set-up, and to send the CL's for review. Go 1.6 is frozen I think, so presumably 1.7 would be our target for integration. Currently our port is passing nearly all the std tests, and we're debugging the last few failures. Performance is reasonable and we're working to improve it. I've read the "Requirement for a new port" we page. Please let me know if you have any additional advice or suggestions on contributing back this port. Thanks!

Nice.

If your builders have good network connectivity and you have enough CPU to dedicate to them we can setup the new style builders on them and then we'd get trybots on them, so people can test their changes before submitting. The old style builder only tests commits after they're submitted.
