There are a handful of pending issues and CLs related to ppc64 support, primarily cgo. At this point we are already certainly not going to hit the August 1 deadline, and we are looking for non-essential work to move to Go 1.6. The remaining ppc64 issues and CLs fall into this category, since ppc64 in Go 1.5 is only a preview anyway. I'm going to push those off to Go 1.6, but I wanted to send this email first explaining.
