RFC - Elastic agents for Go - Better agent management

Hello,

I've been thinking about release 15.2, the one after the current one, and want to start conversations about what could be one of the bigger features in that release. There have been conversations held on these very mailing lists (see links below). However, I want to bring all that thinking into one place.

The feature is tentatively titled "Elastic Agents". I've created a little RFC document, which is available here. You can comment on it, in its counterpart Google Doc, here.

Thanks to all of you for being part of the previous conversations! Please comment on this, and if you're so inclined, any development help provided towards this will be really appreciated, so that we can move on to many more changes.

PS: I'm doing this because no one else did. If you feel strongly about this feature or others, at any time, please feel free to write an RFC and get people interested in contributing. If you do, you need to be ready to put some effort towards it, though. :)
