Hey all,

We've got a few people signed up, so I figured we could start planning when to get started.

Thoughts?

Did everyone get the discount code from Pragmmatic Bookshelf? gnocode_seven

Worked great. Purchased last night. Thanks.

I'll start reading this weekend.

I've started.

I made a VM (Virtual Box, Ubuntu), installed Ruby, setup a shared folder to my host OS, set up a Mercurial repository on bitbucket, and made a tag set on delicious to keep track of any reference pages it asked you to find and read and went through all of Day 1's examples.

It looks like Day 2 is much longer.  I hope/assume it gets into idiomatic Ruby - I would hate it if it doesn't try to eliminate the equivalent of this kind of thing I still see occasionally in .NET:

SomeClass foo = new SomeClass();
foo = SomeFunctionReturningSomeClass();

Thanks,

Cade

So should we all start and if so what day should we be on?
