I'd personally use the notebook, especially if you're mostly using it from computers you can run your brower with the Google Notebook extension (I know FF has one, I don't remember if IE does).

IE does, though it came out after the Firfox one did, so I didn't know
about it till I went back for an upgrade one day. I think those are
the only browsers with an extension (add-in to IE), but all browsers
can use it in web form.

I remember something that Google was working on that was supposed to be some sort of online AJAX replacement for MS Word. Writely...or Writer or something. :/

You can install Notepad with IE.  I know because I have it.  One of the places where you can go for information is http://notepad.org.  You will find others in a Google search.

hi Guillaumeb

ideally go in for the Google provided Notepad. it is recently brought
out. it definitely helps in one way that is: when you go to another PC
u will still access it as it is web based and not pc based. Also it is
a click away from your existing GMail account.

That's the one Nick, cheers. :)
