How to add custom merge request statuses

In the project settings for Brewtarget, I can see there is a tab for editing the merge request statuses, but I do not see a way to add **new** statuses. How can I do this?

So, using Chromium and Ice Weasel, there appears to be no way to add or remove statuses from the "Merge Request Statuses" of the project edit page. However, using Konqueror I can see an "Add status" button as well as the "Remove" buttons.

Is there something wrong in my browser settings?
