Gitlab::Git::Repository::NoRepository exception after upgrade to (8.11.3-ce.1)

Hello - the following error now occurs after upgrade to  8.11.3-ce.1 rom ( 8.9.4-ce.1). It shows a 500 error in the browser. Anybody else seeing this.  I have restarted gitlab - I might try to restart the machine.
