git svn command in post-receive hook

Hi,

While using "git-svn dcommit" in post-receive hook. it fails with below error.
remote: fatal: git was built without support for git-svn (NO_PERL=YesPlease). 
 
But the same thing works fine if we run the post-receive hook manually.
What could be the reason?
