Getting corrupt files on code.google.com uploads

Hi all,

I'm new to git so this is probably something dumb I'm doing.

I set up a site on code.google.com and got my code uploaded.

When I make changes I'm using gitext 'commit and push' to get it there.

The files are randomly getting whitespace removed, often in unfortunate places like "if then" becomes "ifthen".

Is this some common setup that I missed?
