gevent 1.3b1 available

Hello,

On behalf of the gevent contributors, I am pleased to announce the first beta release of what will soon become gevent 1.3. Compared to 1.3a2, work was done on performance, stability, monitoring, and extensibility. No more major features are expected for gevent 1.3 only tweaks and bug fixes.

This release has been made possible by many contributors, hopefully most of whom are named in the change notes (apologies to anyone left out). (The detailed change notes are too numerous to include here.)

Please try it out and report any issues you have (https://github.com/gevent/gevent/issues).

Download it from PyPI or install with pip or buildout. (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/gevent/1.3b1)  (To use libuv on Linux, please install gevent from the source distribution; manylinux1 binary wheels cannot support libuv.)
