These pins are from Schwinn kick-stands - the co-op even had Park's KS-1 tool to remove them!

They are a bit like a nail head, with the 'hitting' end hooking itself inside the barrel to hold itself in place. Except, that is, for the top one that is 'mushroomed' at both ends.

However: I looked at Owen's Raleigh Twenty and the barrel is shorter and doesn't have a hole for this pin, it has two indentations at one end. The kick-stand itself is long gone, so I can't say for sure.

The same type (of Raleigh kick-stand barrel) is also fitted on a Mk3 Moulton and the Raleigh RSW16, but Owen's Raleigh Chopper seems to have the (now empty) Schwinn type?

Alan,
  Thanks. Keep me posted.

I moved a mint Raleigh Twenty the other day and the kickstand pin broke.  Grease must have been dry internally.

If it is the same as the Schwinn kickstand I can probably get one for you from the scrap pile at Working Bikes, provided I can follow these instructions and remove it without losing any fingers!

This diagram ...

probably explains what Ric is talking about?

Part#8376 "retaining pin" if the Raleigh Twenty is anything like a Schwinn in this regards?

Alan,
That is correct.  I believe called a "finish pin"  vs. "cam pin' which holds spring on kickstand.

Does this mean that it is similar to Schwinns, where a 'barrel' is attached (welded or brazed) to or part of the frame?

Aaron.
Thanks for the response.
Just so I am clear it is the final finish pin to secure the entire kickstand in the frame (not the one to hold in the spring).
Where to purchase? size?

I believe it is a standard sized roll pin. I believe their is a
semi-special tool for releasing the spring, however I seem to recall
using vice grips and a screwdriver in the past.

I am away from my bikes at the moment but will check when I get the chance.
