Hi all,

I have a few questions for my UN and international organizations colleagues out there (private sector folks, feel free to answer too, but I doubt we can compare the UN and the private sector in terms of resourses :-))

1. How many people do you have in your web operations / web publishing teams?
2. How many Gs and Ps?
3. Where does the budget come from? (i.e. how do you fund your staffing?)

I know we've asked these questions over and over in surveys, but I'd love to have an updated sample of how other UN entities and international organizations manage their web ops staffing.

thank you!

Dear Harvey,

I would like to consult you and DCOMM/DIGICOM on recommending web development  firms for the conceptualization and development of an online platform for the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth.

Background: In February 2016, the DG launched the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth (www.ilo.org/decentjobsforyouth) which has been endorsed by the UN Chief Executives Board for Coordination. The Global Initiative is the first-ever, comprehensive United Nations system-wide effort for the promotion of youth employment worldwide

Online platform: The Global Initiative needs to urgently set up an online platform. The ILO is leading this exercise. This platform will be hosted externally (not on the ILO website) as it is a United Nations system-wide effort. Among several components, the comprehensive online platform will include a knowledge facility.

Could you please share with me suggestions of web development firms that the ILO has worked with (existing suppliers) or has considered working with (potential suppliers)? Alternatively, it would be great if you could put me in contact with a colleague who could provide recommendations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks,
Felix
