The training seems to be this week.
Prof nandaa- should link up with Ken @ fablab. Fund out timing, in case some if our students could be interested. Also, get curriculum.

Afrimakers: Imagine and build the future with young makers in Africa
HacKidemia is a global organisation that runs hands-on STEM workshops for kids in more than 25 countries around the world with 8000 children and 400 mentors. As they were asked by the Afrilabs community of hubs to bring the project to Africa they launched this campaign two months ago: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/afrimakers.
The main intention is to enable African makers -- kids in particular -- to use making and prototyping for solving local challenges like access to clean water, energy and information.
During January and February 7 teams of makers in Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana will be trained and coached to solve local challenges with prototyping and young people. The local makers will receive fellowships and will train other hubs in the region. All projects will be documented and shared.
Afrimakers trainings and workshops are now taking place in Kenya until the 1st of February.
What: Trainings and hands-on workshops for youth with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and many other electronics and prototyping tools
