If you are a GCE users that uses Container-VM image under google-containers project, please update your code to use Container-Optimized OS images from cos-cloud project.

Details

Container-VM Image (aka GCI), the default base image for GKE and Containers on Compute Engine is now generally available and has a new name: Container-Optimized OS.

Container-Optimized OS images are available under the project `cos-cloud`, and use the name prefix `cos`. The `gci` images in the `google-containers` project will remain available through May 30, 2017, but are considered deprecated and newer versions of Container-Optimized OS images are pushed only to the `cos-cloud` project; please update your code to use the `cos` images in `cos-cloud` project.
