[Google Compute Engine] Compute Accounts for Linux user management (alpha)

Greetings Google Compute Engine users,

Today, we announced an alpha release of Compute Accounts service that facilitates all aspects of Linux user account management for Compute Engine customers.

The new service is extending our current account provisioning tooling with a simple and fast dedicated Linux user and group management API. Here are some benefits that we are sure you’d like:

• automatic lockout of users leaving your company [synchronized with Google Apps account suspension and deletion]

• centralized and scriptable Linux user management using Cloud SDK

• full Linux group management using Cloud SDK

• ...and a proper REST API available for integration with 3rd party tools and services
