Workaround for Maven Jenkins option to "Publish JUnit test result report"

I'm running Gatling test as Maven Jenkins Job. While I'm want to publish a JUnit report for the assertions . I do not see the option for "Publish JUnit test result report" in Jenkins ( due to this Jenkins Issue ) . Is there a workaround on how I can accomplish this ?  other than creating a new another Jenkins job to publish reports.
