G4C Community,

It was great to see many of you at the recent G4C conference. I wanted to share with you the exciting news about a new book by Jennifer Brandes Hepler (a recent presenter at G4C and writer at Kognito). The book is entitled "Women in Game Development: Breaking the Glass Level-Cap."

The book collects the voices of nearly two dozen women in game development, sharing an intimate look at their personal journeys as minority voices trying to get heard in an industry still dominated by men. Reading their stories, you will get a ground-level view of the talents and diversity of women working in games, the triumphs they've experienced, the challenges they've overcome, and in many cases the harassment and misogyny they've faced just for following their passion to make games. For aspiring developers, these inspiring essays are joined by information on how to break into the industry in a variety of fields. For men, it includes tips on how to help make your companies and teams more welcoming to diverse employees. And for women, anywhere in the field, it is a helping hand, reaching out to show you, you're not alone.
