Hey, hackers. We get signal.

If you park your car at Hackerspace, please don’t leave the Sun Center premises without moving your car first. If you want to go grab burritos at Boca Fiesta, that’s cool, but you’ve got to move your car somewhere else first, like street parking or the GRU parking lot. (The GRU lot is less than a block south, and parking there is free in the evenings.)

Maude’s Cafe and other shops and restaurants in the Sun Center itself are fine; you can go to those places while your car is parked in the Sun Center parking lot.

The Sun Center has been incredibly supportive of Hackerspace over the past 3 years. (Among other forms of support, they let us use the basement for free!) So let’s be great tenants and stick to the parking rules.

Thanks!

Subject: Parking in the Sun Center Parking Lot Update

Just a friendly reminder about parking in the Sun Center Lot.
Parking is reserved for the tenants of Sun Center for their customers and employees WHILE at the Sun Center.
This week the tow company will begin Roam Towing during lunch in the Sun Center lots to increase space availability for our businesses.

Boca Fiesta, the Hippodrome and Union Street Station Shops & Restaurants are not part of Sun Center.

Please make sure that your customers understand that if they leave the property, even if they do momentary business with your establishment, their vehicle must go with them. (Can’t visit a retail establishment, leave the property for the day and expect not to get towed – parking is only WHILE at the Sun Center for customers).

Employees should go to their office/work upon arrival to establish themselves as being at work. After establishing the fact that you are working at the Sun Center, heading off property should not be a problem. Our goal is not to tow tenants or their employees.  Our goal is to make sure you can find parking, if you happen to leave during the lunch rush, after you get back.

If you have any questions please ask them now.
