Hey Crew,

I'm looking to schedule the next JavaScript Meetup this month on the 24th -- We had an awesome time last month so I'd love to keep it downtown. With Christian in China, I'm not sure who to talk to. Is it possible that we can host this meetup at the skillhouse?

Thanks!
Eran

Eran, members-at-large: There's no need to do anything formal about
this. Just collar a member and convince them to be here to open the
space. We've never yet had an issue with a meetup happening, so the
first time there's a problem, we'll maybe come up with some rules.

Speaking ex cathedra as a board member, We Welcome Your Gathering.
Come, be welcome, and nerd out, yo.

Speaking as an individual, I can't make it, so I can't be the person
who unlocks the door.

When do you want me there?

I'm glad you want to keep it downtown - it was a terrific preso!   JavaScript is getting in more embedded devices all the time,  this is a great fit...

And can some other folks raise their hands to be there as backup?  Especially if you know more than me about the infrastructure (this is a very very low bar).

Very cool!

We would generally start at 7 but I'm thinking about delaying at this point. I haven't had much time to prepare any sort of presentation so it would be, if nothing more, a show and tell or something. I'd rather wait until I can have something more substantial together.

I feel like a natural move for me would be to become a member, what's involved in that process?

That's what I was thinking.

$35/month,  and you have to be vetted by the Board to get your own key - I think that's pretty much just a formality in your case,  but then I shouldn't speak for the Board.

I presume you mean a later night,  not later that night,  but whatever, let me know.

Come by tuesday nights, become known to the voting members, tell our
secretary you're interested, get voted in, pay some filthy lucre, get
your card. :)

We vote on aspirant members first meeting of the month. For the
curious, our bylaws are available here:

So, what's up for the 24th? More JavaScript grooviness?

Hey Randy,

Thanks for following up. I'm going to have to postpone this month's meetup due to a few factors. I'd definitely like to pursue membership though so hopefully I'll be seeing you soon.

I'll start tentatively planning for a meetup sometime next month though.

Thanks again!
Eran
