Good morning,

I spoke with Christina last night. Jorge's motion from July is still pending. Meanwhile he has a check-in at the ICE office (12445 E Caley Ave.) on November 7 and they request presence there at 8:30am to pray with them before they go in. Check ins take about an hour so if folks are able to be there at 8:30am and plan to stay until 10am that would be great. Jorge's stay is valid until January, but given the current climate and the trauma the family has suffered, they prefer to have folks with them. It would be lovely to have 10 to 20 folks there. Please sign up here if you can come: https://goo.gl/forms/rdGZCsHcluDaHwT43 . This will allow me to keep you updated if anything should change.

Jorge has still not received a new work permit, so the family is also struggling to pay legal and other bills. If you would be so kind as to share their gofundme and petition with your friends and congregations, that would be great!

"Please sign and share Jorge's petition to stay in Colorado with his children and grandchildren: https://coloradoimmigrant.salsalabs.org/petition-jorgeunjustdeportation/index.html . Our goal is to double the signatures to 1,336 before his next check-in with Immigration and Customs Enforcement on November 7. As a result of his stay previously ending, Jorge has had to reapply for a work permit and is still waiting for the permit to arrive. Because of this, he's had to leave his job of many years and the family is raising funds online to pay for legal expenses in his case. Due to the generosity of donors they are a fifth of the way to their November goal of $5,000 https://www.gofundme.com/6rpenr-attorney-fee039s "

Sincerely,
Jenn Piper
