Anyone knows what are the common use cases of the tasks when creating new TimeEntries?

Hello. I am working on integration with TimeEntries in FB. Because the requirement of creating a new TimeEntry is to select a project and a task, and fill hours. Our system has the project field, but doesn't have task field. So I just want to ask if anyone using FB knows about the common use cases of this task field when creating a new TimeEntry? Do people often create new task when create TimeEntry? Or do people do not create new task, just use default task such as general?

BTW, "use case" I mean the common usage of the FB user.
