Hi , I have just bought a ford windstar 1999. I got the coolant
reservoir /radiator flushed because there was black oil floating in
it.But after driving about 2000 km Oil is back again in coolant
reservoir. Also my transmission fluid level has dropped down
significantly. Engine oil level seems to be ok.No pea nut butter color
under motor oil cap.
can anyone tell me where the problem is.
I aslo have some bearing making a noise in engine compartment, and a
splash of oil on firewall, where the pulleys are.I suspect that to be
steering fluid/pump.

I'll appreciate if anyone can help.I have spent too much on safety for
this care already.

Thanks

Nadeem

IF YOU FOUND OIL IN THE COOLANT BOTTLE, HEADGASKET IS DAMAGE OR TRANS. OIL LOCATED INSIDE THE RADIATOR IS LEAKING. THESE REPAIRS COST MORE THAN  THE CAR IS WORTH. ONCE THE OIL IS INSIDE THE ENGINE COOLANT SYSTEM, THERE IS NO WAY TO REMOVE ALL THE OIL. THE LEFT OVER OIL WILL SLOWLY SOFTEN ALL THE RUBBER HOSES,WATERPUMP SEAL,AND OTHER COMPONENTS. IT  CLOGGED UP THE COOLANT FLOW WHICH OVERHEAT THE CAR, CLOGGED HEATER CORE WHICH GET YOU NO HEAT.. -- On Wed, 5/27/09, docnb <bukhari...@gmail.com> wrote:

Thank you sir. Thats just what I was fearing.
Do you think I'll need a new RAD or just trans cooler if this car is
equipped with one. Then just flush the coolant system once again and
probably pass the car on.
