FS Venues API for autocomplete

Hi,
I am using the FS venues API for the purposes of auto-complete. But it
looks like this API - https://api.foursquare.com/v2/venues/search only
performs a full word match and not a prefix match as auto-complete
would need.

Is this the intention? Anyway i can over-ride this behaviour to do a
prefix match on the query term passed?
