Let's do fossmeet
Last year was unfortunate, but our perspiration didn't go into the drains, we had the best participation ever, who understood what happened and would love to come this time as well.
Now is the time to start, speakers, marketing, pre Foss workshops and publicity. Being late was one of the setbacks last time, let's not make the same mistake again. Let's do it better this time. The enthusiasm and determination has only increased, we believe you could pull off a stunner, and we will do our best to support.

Great. Looking forward to this year's FOSSmeet. Decide on the date and
start the funnel. Things will automatically get rolling. Hoping to
give one or more talks this time. All the best. Please declare date
very early, so that all can plan well in advance and book tickets.

PS: I am a regular attendee and speaker. Not a student.

Another regular attendee and speaker here.

Announcing the event early is one of the best thing organizers can do, and if fossmeet happen this year, we are already late (assuming mid Feb). A break will hurt the event really bad, because the juniors wont be able to host an event without attending the event at least once.

Wishing all good luck, and support.

PS: Missed the email because google pushed it off my primary inbox. Folks, please update your filters and participate actively.
