Pakistani Girls Asking for Easy Load or Cards on Mobile Numbers

Posted: 10 Oct 2009 01:09 AM PDT

One of the most rising trend in Pakistan is right now that many girls welcome the calls from the strangers who are the aspirants of friendship. These girls ask for mobile phone cards and the easy load of the mobile phone balanace and in return these girls talk with these boys or go on date to get a free meal. These girls also ask for the money, clothes and like to shop around. The more the easy loads and the cards, the more these girls go out and open up. As a person drains out or asks for more favors from the girls in return of cards and easy loads, the girls dump the guy and start looking for another idiot. But the former idiot often doesn’t forget and forgive and many sad incidents have happened as an outcome. Some guys have kidnapped and raped the girls, some have thrown acid on the girls and some have simply told the family of the girls to the would be in-laws of the girls. Parents should keep a strict vigil on the girls and I don’t see any reason why the school and college girls should have the mobile phones. Or if that is extremely necessary, then the parents should get a post paid package for their daughters and pay the bill themselves and keep eye on the mobile phone and Internet usage of the girls.
Well, where in our society the girls are the victim, it would be prudent to note down that the girls are also extortionists in many cases. They indulge in obnoxious activities and that way cheat with the boys and as a result not only get burned by themselves but also put their parents and family in agony, as the victim boys normally take revenge.

Girls On Stones

Here we see girls of the Medical College in Peshawar on their field trip. You’d be hard pressed to find so many beautiful girls in one single photograph! They’re sitting on the banks of a stream in the North West Frontier Province of Pakstan. Notice the picturesque bed of pebbles contrasting with their beautiful clothes.

The two girls in the pink and blue shalwars look especially photogenic. Their clothes complement each other and the environment, creating an impressive effect. Whether Pathan, Punjabi, Sindhi or Baluchi, Pakistani girls prove yet again that when it comes to style and beauty, no other women in the Subcontinent compare.

Suneeta Marshall (born 1982) is a Pakistani model.

Personal Life:

Marshall was born in Lahore, Pakistan to a Pakistani Christian family. She is a commerce graduate from Karachi’s St Patrick’s College.

In April and May 2008, a headline “Dhoom dharakka for Sunita” appeared in various newspapers. Sunita Marshall tied the knot with a co-model Hassan Ahmad, a Muslim. In fact, Hassan turned model & actor to work with her as he was the event manager and met Sunita at one of his shows.

Modeling:

Marshall was introduced into the modeling world by her aunt, who runs a famous beauty salon in Lahore. She made her first appearance in a Garnier Fructis commercial. After doing a few more commercials for hair products such as Pantene, Head and Shoulders and Kuene, Suneeta disappeared from the world of television commercials.

Come Back:

Marshall made a come back as the Gul Ahmed new girl. Suneeta Marshall was on every Gul Ahmed billboard and in every Gul Ahmed spread in all the magazines. This was enough for people to notice this new up and coming model who was before only known as the Fructis girl. After her contract ended with Gul Ahmed, Suneeta decided to work with big fashion designers such as Deepak Perwani, HSY, Bunto Kazmi and Nilofer Shahid.

Big Break:

It really was not until Marhsall worked for Bunto Kazmi, that she received true fame. Suneeta was chosen by Bunto Kazmi to model her clothes in 2000 for a Milan fashion show. For the first time Suneeta received international fame and recognition and that did wonders for her. After a little international exposure, Suneeta was brave enough to muster up the strength and submit her portfolio directly to fashion designers such as Dior and Gucci. Suneeta landed the job with Dior right away but it was not until a little while that Suneeta started working for Gucci as well. Suneeta opened Dior's show in Karachi and then in Dubai, London, Paris and Moscow.

Suneeta Marshall's fame was further increased when she decided to star in Abaraul Haq's music video Preeto (Pretty). After her first success Suneeta decided to star in the music video for the Shehzad Roy song "Jana". Suneeta also decided to try her hand at acting and started off by doing a television movie called Tere Bina (without you) in which she played a young spoiled girl who elopes with her boyfriend and then later learns about the responsibilities of marriage. After that Suneeta Marshall got to play the lead in the very successful television drama Malika in which she plays a Fashion Model/Actress who gets ahead of her friend in show business.

Marshall has worked with countless famous Pakistani designers and has had contracts with many big companies such as LUX, Revlon, Jazz, Mobilink, and Sunsilk. Suneeta has also been offered to act in Indian Films but since most Indian Films are musicals, Suneeta turned them down and in an interview on the famous talk show Bushra Bushra, she revealed that she is interested in doing more serious work.

You will see her pics in new post soon.............

Learn best way to trade forex by a Girl

Posted: 18 Oct 2009 04:17 AM PDT

What is the best way to trade forex?
Today the Forex Market has become very saturated and confusing with all the choises and options, both online and offline to begin your research on trading and making money. Where do you start, and unless you have several free hours I couldn’t list all of them here.

In the market place today we can find seminars, articles, workshops, video tutorials, and books on the topic of how to make money currency trading. Everything from honest forex trading ideas, forex reports to Forex Scams. So if we are new to the market how do we not get ripped off?

A well designed trading system will reduce your work dramatically. This in turn gives you time to focus on studying the market and plotting your strategy.

If you’re like me however, there never seems to be enough time in the day between my family obligations and work to put in the serious study it takes to master the Forex market.

It is a pretty steep learning curve, and it can be pretty daunting at first for someone just learning how to trade.

There is one more way to make money currency trading. It’s probably the best bet for beginners and those of us who are pressed for time. The process is an automated trading system, generally called a Forex Robot.

There are many of these Forex Robots (Forex Expert Advisors) out there, but they aren’t all created equal. Many of these so called automatic forex systems are nothing more than scams.

With my husband we took a look at the potential profitability of trading with a Forex EA. We also discussed that that there are many Forex Robots that are downright scams. In other words, all Forex Robots are not created equal.

I recently had a friend call me who had been trading on the currency market for some time, and was making some pretty good money trading Forex the traditional way. He excitedly told me that he had recently found a Forex Robot that was recommended by a fellow trader.

He went on to tell me that although he was skeptical of these automated Forex Robot software, and believed like I did that most of them were scams, he decided to give it a try. The results were nothing short of phenomenal.

Before you invest in any of theses products however, make sure you find out what the risk/reward profile is with the trading software you are looking at.

As an example, some of these software products come with risk/reward ratios of 2:1, while some even have a risk/reward ratio as high as 35:1.These ratios are not acceptable, and you need to look elsewhere, otherwise you’ll lose all your trading funds pretty quickly.

Any automated trading software that comes with more than a 1:1 risk should be avoided like the plague.

I want to emphasize that there are great Forex expert advisors and trading Robots that can make you good money, but you need to know how to recognize them, I have suggested a couple of places to start your search, but please do your own research.

It has been conclusively proven that automated products which adopt strict and professionally set guidelines and that will never allow you more than a 1:1 run, reduce the risk of destroying your trading account.

Did you know that there are average people out there making between $3500.00 to $4000.00 per month trading in the Forex market? How are they doing it? Find out how a powerful and “smart” Forex Robot is creating life-changing incomes for many people who have never traded the Currency market before.

Manicure your nails at home

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 11:28 PM PDT

Caring for nails is equally important as taking care and pampering all the other body parts. They just don't enhance the beauty but also reflect one's health. Many health specialists can guess a person's diseases with the color and texture of one's nails. In easiest way it can be said that eating healthy food and keeping the nails clean and cut properly keeps them in good condition.

Yes, you can manicure your nails at home by using the following tips:

Remove the already coated nail polish from the nails with a good branded nail polish remover. Avoid using acetone on nails; many women use it to remove nail polish because it cheap but it damages the outer layer of the nails so one should invest in a recognized brand's nail polish remover.
After removing the nail polish soak the nails with a mild solution in water for 5 minutes. Wash them off and massage with some vitamin E enriched cream or cuticle based cream on the nails and with the help of the cuticle cutter, which is specifically made to remove the dead skin, removes the cuticles from the nails. Wipe the cream or oil off with a napkin or cotton ball. Now cut and shape the nails in a way and size you want.

Cutting and shaping the nails after soaking them up is easier because it makes the nails soft and easy to shape. Now you can apply base coat of the nail polish on your nails and then apply the polish. To give the final touch to your nails and to lock the nail fastens the nail polish with a transparent coat on it. It keeps the color stay for longer on the nails. When the nail color dries 3/4 th way, then soak the nails in chilled water for few minutes. It will lock the color on the nails for longer time. Now massage your nails with a light moisturizer and your hands are ready to make everybody jealous with their fabulous look.

Shaping and cutting nails perfectly needs a little practice and patience. To learn it perfectly one can get it done once by a professional expert and can do it at home with one's own home manicure kit. If the nails have become yellow with the excessive use of nail colors then on should rub the lemon peel on the nails and should leave the juice on them for a while. One should stop applying nail colors for the time being to get the natural white and bright color of the nails.

Nail Care

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 11:01 PM PDT

Scratch an itch. Strum a guitar. Peel an orange. Your fingernails come in handy all day long, but too much use -- or misuse -- can cause problems ranging from nasty fungal infections to brittle, broken nails. Because many nail disorders result from poor nail care, developing good nail habits today will help keep them healthy. The nail is made of a hard protein called keratin. A protein is one of the building blocks which make up the body. The nail care, help protect the ends of the fingers and toes from trauma and also help us pick up small objects.

Although plenty can go wrong with the nails, one of the most common complaints dermatologists hear is that fingernails are brittle, or easily broken. Fingernails can become brittle either because they are too dry, making them hard and easily cracked, or because they are too moist, which leaves them soft and prone to tearing.

For your nails to be healthy your diet should include a lot of fruits and raw vegetables so that they get the required vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Eating food that is rich in silicon like broccoli, fish and onions help in nail care. For nail care eat foods rich in biotins like whole grains. Drink plenty of water and other fruit juices for better nails. Food rich in zinc and vitamin B will strengthen your nails. Fresh carrot juice rich in calcium and phosphorous is perfect for strengthening nails.

Basic Nail Care

  • Wash hands with mild soap, using a nailbrush for nail care.
  • Soak the hands in warm water for a few minutes to soften the cuticles (the bits of skin at the bottom of the nails).
  • Very gently push back the cuticles if they are long and ragged.
  • Trim the nails to the same length.
  • File the ends of the nails to smooth them off.
  • If your hands are dry, apply some hand cream for nail care.

Funk up with Nail Art

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 10:55 PM PDT

Fashion has taken a major twist; style is not ordinary or only extra ordinary anymore either. It is more about what catches the eye; it is about the wow in your style. Nails contribute to the look just as everything else does. From nail polish it is time to move on to something funkier like nail art.

Spicing up your look is what style is all about. Nail art can be done professionally too but here are some easy do yourself nail art pointers.

Get your material ready and sit down to style your hands with nail art. Give your nails a base coat. For nail art set your canvas the nail with a neutral color. After it has dried you are ready to let your creativity go wild. Use bold colors or patterns or tattoo designs. It is your nail! It is your nail art!

Once, your nail art has dried, paint your nail with a clear shine or acrylic. And keep repainting this coat every few days to keep your nail art looking fresh.

Nail art is not only for professionals, you can funk up your hands yourself now. Play around with colors and designs and let your nails speak out loud as well.

Hair washing with care

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 10:35 PM PDT

We have been hair washing all our lives. How could we go wrong with something like hair washing? However, we might be hair washing the wrong way and messing up hair care without actually knowing it.

What we should remember about hair care is that the individual strands of our hair, no matter how thick or strong it looks, is actually very delicate. Hair care says we cannot just tug and pull at it, or else it would break.

So, what is the right way of hair washing? The first thing you should do is to comb the tangles out of the hair before you wet it so the hair washing doesn’t worsen the tangles. And then, wet your hair thoroughly under the shower. You can use either warm or cold water if you like, but for best results, you can wet your hair with warm water to wash all the oil and dirt off. And then, you can rinse your hair with cold water afterwards to close the cuticles and add to the hair care.

Using gentle strokes of your fingertips apply the shampoo to your scalp. Take note to not at the ends of your hair, as the shampoo would dry your hair's ends and cause it to weaken and split. Also, do not mix your hair all over your head as you shampoo because it will get all tangled up. After this, rinse the shampoo off.

More often than not, we need to shampoo our hair for a second time. The purpose of the first shampoo is to clean the oil and dirt off; the second shampoo is supposed to let the shampoo treat our hair. So, repeat the process, but let the shampoo sit on for around a couple of minutes. Rinse the hair completely after this.

To get the excess water off your hair, just squeeze the water out. Do not pull or tug at the hair because the hair is at its most delicate when it is soaked. Apply a dollop of conditioner and apply it along the hairline, the nape and the ends of the hair. Pile your hair then inside a shower cap and let the conditioner stay there for around ten minutes. And then, rinse it off completely. Welcome to a perfect hair day!

What’s on the hair?

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 10:31 PM PDT

Incorporating hair accessories into your wardrobe happens to be one of the best ways to define one’s personal style. Sometimes a fabulous hair accessory can make or break the outfit. Sometimes the finishing touch to an outfit that needs just a little bit of tweaking usually requires a hair accessory to complete the look.

Fashion icons like Victoria Beckham embrace a look with the D&G hair adornment headbands which she has been seen wearing about town. Designers are using luscious silk flowers, satin ribbons and vintage style trinkets and jewels to decorate their hair accessories.

Hair accessories which are scaling bigger, bolder and more ornate with sparkling Swarovski crystals, bows, beads, feathers and colors are in fashion. One of the most popular types of hair accessories right now are headbands. Headbands are definitely something that you will want to consider investing in.

Though the use of most of the hair accessories are for the purpose of every day usage but on special occasions we can see that those same hairdos and with the same type of hair accessories fashioned in a newly manner changes the total appearance and gives in a brand new style statement.

In hair accessories jewelry probably is the most used hair accessory because of the variety of different types of jewels, different styles, and sparkle that comes with using these hair items.

Also the uses of crystals are quite in fashion for the hair accessories. And one thing more, it is however noticed that the vintage hair accessories have their own kind of style statement and they obviously look gorgeous and have their very own glamour.

Hair accessories have revolutionized over the time and are very much in fashion nowadays.

What to wear??

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 10:19 PM PDT

It seems that Salwars have only recently been revolutionised. For a major part of the last century they had little impact on fashion and were seen only as something worn for traditional reasons. Whatever the style of your Salwar you must remember that the tailoring is the most important thing. Wear the Salwar and do not let the Salwar wear you.

Salwar Kameez come in many different styles such as Parallel/Trouser style salwar suits with a short Kurta style top, churidar style salwar kameez, pajami and afghani style salwar kameez and traditional style salwar kameez which has innumerable variations.

The salwar often is worn like a pant, with a fitted look. This combination is called the trouser suit. The salwar has also been through bell-bottom and slits fads.

Qlot salwars are also becoming a fashion statement and recently they have taken the fashion industry with a storm. The new style of the summer is a long kameez with a qlot salwar. If you are wearing qlot salwars this season then you are all set to be the apple of every gathering you go to.

qlot salwars are all the hype nowadays in Pakistan.

Shalwar Kameez

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 10:11 PM PDT

So many of you must be conscious enough about their dressing? It’s good to take care of your dressing like you care for your makeup or and hair style etc.

Learning inns and outs in dressing can help you to look up to date. In order to look current, you need to experience new trends. The most important thing you need to consider in this scenario is that what really suits you? It means that you should experience latest fashion trends, in dresses as well but first of all you must adopt that according to your age and the season.

Now-a-days in Shalwar Kameez, long shirts are back with their full bloom. Shalwar and pajama like trousers with the long, (smart & below your knees) Kameez is again ‘inn’ these days.
In shalwar kameez, banarsi Anarkali jamawar especially in bright & hot colors goes best for tops. Hot and bright colors like Shocking pink, blue, see green suit best in this regard. For the bottom silk churidar pajama with no ornamentation or embroidery can suit the most. For this dress crinkle chiffon dupatta with the gotta at the border side lines look astonishing.

Other than banarsi top, Bronze chiffon Anarkali, or crinkle chiffon jamawar having work of Kundan, swarovski and beads suit best with the Bronze crepe silk pajama having sequins work with beads spread all over. Also Periwinkle crepe silk flared shalwar having small Periwinkle chiffon dupatta with the ornamental motifs spread all over. With these dresses Bronze chiffon dupatta or having thin embellished border along small ornamental motifs all over it make your perfect dress. It will look more attractive if you make in some dark color especially in black.

Interesting thing about Shalwar Kameez is that some renowned personalities like Sally Field, Goldie hawn, Hillary Clinton; Jennifer Lopez etc are admiring this dress shalwar Kameez, even in their high profile occasions.
Well we can say that after Asia, shalwar kameez is becoming the taste of west as well.

Home Made After Shave

A home made recipe about after shave make your skin soft and beautiful and also clean your face with soft way.

Shaving is an unpleasant but unavoidable part of almost every man’s life, unless of course he prefers to emulate a member of ZZ Top. While guys can’t escape the razor, they can add some spice to the daily routine by using aftershave. Almost every cologne company in existence sells their own unique aftershave blend, but you can surprise the man in your life by making him a distinctively fragranced product for a fraction of the price from the comfort of your kitchen. He is sure to love your creative gift, both for its scent and skin pampering power.

When a man shaves, he generally uses warm water to soften his facial hair beforehand. This heat causes the pores to open. If left this way, they are prone to the intrusion of dirt and oil, which can cause breakouts. Also, any cuts that occur during shaving can become infected unless they are sterilized.

When aftershave is applied, it causes the pores to shrink back to normal size. Not only is this important for healthy skin, but it also looks better because the pores are less visible. When the right ingredients are added to an aftershave, it can clean and seal cuts, soothe the beard area, and replenish moisture that heat and shaving remove. In short, using aftershave is the final step of good male grooming. If, after all these arguments, your guy still has his doubts, you can win him over with the subtle masculine fragrance of your creation.

Ingredients

In order to make a true aftershave, it is necessary to include ingredients with astringent power. Alcohol (dark rum, not rubbing alcohol) is great to use in this capacity and adds a special scent to the blend. Since it can sting when used alone, you will need to cut it with another astringent. Witch hazel is an inexpensive and easily found option, so I would highly recommend it. The combination of these two items will make a basic aftershave, to which you can add extra ingredients to create a soothing and aromatic blend.

To replenish moisture and give the face a smooth feel, you can add glycerine to your recipe. This ingredient is available both in the baking aisle of grocery stores and at craft shops. Aluminum sulfate, commonly known as alum, is perfect in aftershaves because it tones the skin and staunches bleeding from accidental cuts. Look for alum at your local drug store. For fragrance, the easiest route is to add common spices to your recipe. Allspice, sage, cinnamon, nutmeg, basil, and ginger all produce a wonderful masculine scents. In order to come up with a blend your man will enjoy, simply mix together your favorites until you achieve the desired aroma. Alternately, you can purchase copies of designer scents from craft shops. These oils, though pricey, smell wonderful and are potent enough to last for a long time. Just be sure to buy cosmetic grade scents if you choose this option.

Recipe

Having gathered your ingredients, you can begin making your aftershave. Combine one-half cup of rum and one-quarter cup of witch hazel in a clean glass bowl. To this, add a tablespoon of glycerine and a pinch of alum. Blend the mixture until the powder has dissolved completely. If you are scenting your aftershave with spices, add them now. One and one-half to two teaspoons of this ingredient should be sufficient for a recipe this size, although your tastes should be the judge. You will need to transfer the blend to a container with a lid for ten days so that it can absorb the fragrance of the herbs. Afterwards, use a coffee filter or fine strainer to remove any solids and rebottle your aftershave. If you use fragrance oils, simply add five to six drops (more or less depending on your preferences), stir, and bottle the mixture. Now your homemade aftershave is ready to use.

How to Use It

If the man in your life has never used aftershave or if you would like to make a label for your creation, these usage instructions will come in handy. After shaving, pour a small amount of aftershave (approximately one teaspoon) into the palms and apply it to the beard area. The scent should remain on the skin for approximately three hours depending on how strong it is. If the recipe is too strong, it can be diluted by adding one-quarter cup of water for sensitive skin types. Use the aftershave daily after shaving for healthier skin.

By using your creativity and following your nose, you can make a unique and beneficial gift that any man is sure to love. This recipe is the perfect present for fathers, nephews, and husbands, all of whom can appreciate the benefits it offers. Try storing it in exotic glass jars and affixing your own labels to add a personal touch. No matter who you give your handmade aftershaves to, you will get great reactions and save money.

Tips for Brides

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 09:10 PM PDT

Every bride wants to look their very best on their wedding day; when else will you be the focus of attention of your closest friends, as well as the subject of a photographer chosen to capture you and your partner within a day that is both intimate and public? Every bride deserves to be the special lady of the day and look the best. The hairdo, the makeup, the bridal dress and how the bride conducts herself is the focus of everybody's attention on her wedding day and you will feel much more comfortable, if you have already done the dress rehearsal first. The biggest beauty tip for any bride is drink loads and loads of water and keep her stress level minimum. No beauty tip or treatment will work if you don’t drink enough water or you are highly stressed. Remember to choose your wedding makeup/hair style way early and it should be such that it looks good in photos too.

Some beauty tips for brides for remember:

  • Brides should drink 10 glasses of water each day
  • Eat 3-4 oranges every day for your daily doze of vitamin C essential for healthy skin on her wedding
  • Brides should cleanse, Tone and moisturize twice a day
  • Apply sunscreen everyday 20 minutes before getting out in the sun
  • Exfoliate twice a week
  • Brides should get a facial done once a month
  • Apply ubtan every now and often
  • Bride to be needs exercise 20 minutes everyday
  • Keep stress level at minimum, stress makes your skin bad
  • Get your last facial done 4-5 days before your wedding

Brides should keep the whole look classic and timeless. Don’t experiment with any new thing right before your wedding.

Ayesha Gilani - Miss Pakistan World 2009

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 08:46 PM PDT

1. How does it feel winning Miss Pakistan World?

Winning Miss Pakistan World has already turned out to be an amazing experience, as new as it is. It’s so surreal. The runners up were beautiful, intelligent women, and honestly, I believe it was by a hair that I won. I am truly blessed to be given this opportunity to represent strong, independent, intelligent Pakistani women on a global level, and be the role model that Pakistani women need. I am so excited about the upcoming year, and hope to represent the past and future generations of Pakistani people worldwide exceedingly well.

2. Tell us a bit about yourself.

My family has lived and flourished in the culturally rich Lahore, Pakistan for 700 years. In 1971, my family migrated to the States, where I was born. We frequently take trips back home to visit Pakistan, and they are never long enough. Currently residing in the Washington, DC area, I run a successful business of makeup artists called Limelight Beauty Artistes, focusing on weddings and the fashion industry. My English Studies background has fueled my beauty columns in magazines such as Sapna Magazine, and Divanee Magazine. I’ve also come out from behind the scenes and started modeling myself. I love what I do because I adore meeting new people every day. Each day brings new personalities, new stories.

3. What is your educational background?

I am currently studying at the George Mason University, majoring in English Studies, with a minor in Business Administration. I have also trained with celebrity makeup artist Debra Macki, have taken and continue to take makeup artistry classes to expand upon my expertise.

In between my schooling, I have worked for the Washington Redskins (a National Football League franchise) Charitable Foundation, organizing events to benefit the less fortunate, and working with high profile clients to keep the Foundation running successfully. Previously, I was employed at a certified government contracting agency as Proposal Assistant and Editor. It was a big step to leave a stable day job to pursue my then part time makeup artistry business as a full time endeavor, but I have never looked back since, and am blessed to be able to do what I love as a career.

4. What interested you in taking part in Miss Pakistan World?

Ever since I was a little girl, people have always told me I don’t look Pakistani, and I don’t act Pakistani. How does one “act” Pakistani? Apparently, people expect Pakistani women to be quiet, introverted, shy, oppressed women. Au contraire! I have always been a confident, outspoken female standing up for her beliefs. Pakistani women do look like me, do “act” like me, I thought. And now is my chance to educate the world on exactly how driven and headstrong we are. As a child, my role model was my older sister. She spoke up for herself always; she was beautiful; she was highly intellectual. She was the complete package. I have two young nieces now who I only hope to be a role model for. There are millions of young Pakistani girls worldwide who need the same guidance. I can only hope to be just that.

I also aim to use this platform for yet another purpose. With several cases of disabled children right here in my own extended family, my Achilles heel is the less fortunate. Be it children suffering from Down’s Syndrome, or those displaced from their homes in Swat Valley, I will do everything I can to aid in their relief.

5. How has your family reacted to your being crowned?

My family has been rooting for me to win from the get go. They claimed they “knew” I would win all along, and were so proud of me when I won. They literally jumped for joy and cried tears of happiness. It’s funny and embarrassing at the same time that they introduce me to everyone we know as Miss Pakistan World, but I cherish the love and support they have always given me.

6. Do you have family in Lahore, Pakistan; if so, how have they reacted?

Much of my family resides in Lahore. Pakistan is still fairly new in the field of pageantry and some understand and some don’t. I am not ashamed of who I am, what I wear, what I speak, so I see no reason for being a hypocrite and preaching one thing yet doing another. I am a spiritual person at heart, but I firmly believe it is God and only God who can judge me.

7. What are your plans besides the company plans for your current year?

Aside from the many exciting duties the Miss Pakistan World title will bring my way this year, I remain involved in many activities. I continue to study at my university, as well as staying actively involved in the fashion industry in Washington, DC. As a member of the Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce, I work with fellow “profashionals” to further the DC fashion industry and bring it up to par with its New York and Paris counterparts. Also keeping me inundated is running my business, which I eat, sleep and breathe. I aim to open a premier independent institution dedicated to providing Limelight’s services within the next two years. I also dedicate my time to modeling, writing my beauty column “Steal the Limelight,” and, winding down with friends and family, which includes my two cats, Tony Montana and Mr. Meowgi, and two doves named Heer and Ranjha.

8. After your tough experience in Toronto for almost 10 days, has anything changed you as a person?

Indeed, out of every difficult experience emerges a stronger person. After six months of intense studying, working out, and other preparations, women from all over the world convened for a common goal, to become the next Miss Pakistan World. Ten days of hard work, essay writing, pop quizzes, working out, photo shoots, minimal sleep, hardly any time to eat, all while looking picture perfect will discipline any person. I pushed myself to the limit and beyond, and realized I am much stronger and more capable than I ever imagined. On the day of the pageant, while doing my makeup, I all of a sudden was hit as though with a ton of bricks with a high fever. My head started spinning, my voice started to change due to congestion, I was sneezing up a storm, and my eyelids became heavy with exhaustion. I said to myself, I’ll be darned if I let my body get the best of me on a day like today, downed some over the counter medications, had an energy drink, and focused on the bigger picture. Ten minutes later I was good as new and a few hours later, I was donning the crown and sash. As taught to us by successful image consultant and motivational speaker, Nyla Hasan, it’s ultimately mind over matter. If you put your heart into anything, you can achieve it. As Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you are right.”

9. What’s your advice to the people who have misconceptions about Pakistan in beauty pageants?

Our great nation, the land of purity, or Pakistan, was formed by Muhammad Ali Jinnah on the principles of Islam. What people often misconstrue is that Islam, and Jinnah spoke of this often in his addresses to the people, preaches acceptance of all creeds and equality for all. All types of people live in Pakistan, different religions, races, and schools of thought. While there are people who may be opposed to Pakistan’s involvement in beauty pageants, there are those with more open minds who support the advancement of Pakistan, and her involvement in the world’s arenas. People must learn to be civil and agree to disagree, respecting each other’s opinions. This lesson is one that can be applied to all humanity; live and let live, as preached by Jinnah himself.

Spanking Pakistani Girls by boys on roads

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 06:27 AM PDT

Over the last few years, since the market boom has taken off in the Pakistan, and the society has opened up and girls have found their way to shop around in the markets at their own without their families or the guardians, the incidents of spanking have increased.

Boys and even men, yes some of them, never spared a moment to have a lesiure spank on the backsides of the girls and they relish it and try to repeat it despite of the rush hours. There are also incidents in which the boys sped away on the motorbikes or in the cars, and their companions do the spanking on the girls. Sometimes they even slap the girls or cut them with blades.

Spanking of students in the schools as a method to ensure the discipline has been banned due to its adverse effects and just imagine the plight of the girls who are spanked in the public or in the market. Their self respect and dignity get tarnished pretty badly and soceity gets deprived of a fine personality.

No policing could prevent this sort of shameful activities, because this is the social evil and has to be sorted out at the social level by the social entities. Proper education and awareness among the boys at school and college level should be aimed at inducing in them the respect for the womenfolk.

RONNIE WOOD, PRET-A-PORTER

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 04:40 AM PDT

HOW TO DO PARIS FASHION WEEK WITHOUT BEING A FASHIONISTA:

You don't have to be a fashion editor to get the whole Paris fashion week experience. Honestly it's as easy as dressing in head-to-toe black with a dash of faux fur and super high heels, and following these insider tips (shhhhhh):

1. Always take the 9:00am Eurostar on the morning of the Dior show which is always at 2:30pm. You will bump into the likes of fashion editors (like me), fashionistas like my friend Carmen, owner of vintage e-Dior1 tailer www.atelier-mayer.com , and celebrities, like Jade Jagger in the Cafe Nero queue wearing black boots, black jeans, black leather jacket. The same applies for when you leave Paris you're bound to bump into some intrigue (see Ronnie Wood below).

2. Find out where the big shows are. Like Dior. Dior was held in one of the fashion week spaces in the gorgeous Jardins Tuilleries. You don't need a ticket to get the ambience. Just stand outside the venue before and after the show, and you will see everyone clip-clopping across the cobblestones and the dust through the park to get to the show. Like the Dior clad socialites (they are all French so I don't know who they were), the Fashion Editors as in the entire September Issue American VOGUE stars including Anna Wintour. And the celebs like Rihanna and Bruce Willis - well they may have snuck into the show - but there is no sneaking out of them. Anyone gorgeous who is six foot clad in super skinny jeans, ultra high ankle boots, make-up and looks like she is in a rush... is a model for that or the next show. Don't forget your camera or mobile phone and fight your way past the throngs and throngs of Japanese photographers, tv-crews, and thousands of wannabe next-best-blogger things all looking for a quick snap of stardom. After all you can always flog on your blog.

3. Go to the Ritz and have a 9 Euro cappuccino. Yes 9 Euros, plus 1 Euro tip, so in total 10 Euros. It's Naomichapurin expensive I know but it's better than going to the cinema. You'll have a front row seat to the mad fashion and celeb world. Like Naomi Campbell sitting a few tables away dressed in skin tight jeans, knee-high suede Louboutin boots, a great white jacket, fresh off the Chapurin catwalk and on her way to Simon Cowell's birtday bash. Or Angie from GIna at her spring/summer Gina press day event showcasing rows an drows of glorious sparkly Gina numbers. Or Lainey form Lainey fahsions clad in a great leather Terexov spring/summer jacket. Even if you don't know who everyone is, they are dressed so achingly chic it's a great fashion show in itself. The same applies for The Hotel Costes.

4. After your 10 Euro frothiness at The Ritz go immediately to Colette (see pic below of shop front) . If you do this on a Saturday afternoon it's perfect. Stand oustide for a while and you will watch the fashionable world go in and take ages to come out. Look at the gorgeous Coco Chanel box set complete with straw boater and vintage Chanel snaps on sale for 150 Euros, see my BlackBerry picture below. Or the 350 Euro leather Minnetonka's. And oh la la the chic little row of Christopher Kane for Topshop pieces looked like Balmain. Buy the YSL dvd of the designer at work and anything playing on the Colette soundtrack.

Colette

5. Visit Zara down the road from the Hotel Costes. You'll think you are in Balenciaga. It's so much cooler in Paris and with better product. Everything in the store is black, grey and white. Go to Balenciaga and treat it like a museum because honestly everything is sooo expensive it hurts.

6. Buy French VOGUE. It feels different, you now, buying it in Paris during fashion week! And this month is a collector's edition celebrating 90 years of VOGUE covers.

7. Visit the Fondation Pierre Berge Yves Saint Laurent - for 5 Euros you will get to enjoy whatever fabulous interiors/ fashion exhibition is on and also marvel at the posters and books and postcards in the shop. This month it was furnishings by Jean Michel-Frank - now you know where Ikea and Habitat get their inspiration.

RONNIE WOOD, EKATERINA, CLOSER MAGAZINE AND M&S??

As I strolled into the Eurostar Gare du nord Terminal late saturday afternoon, thinking what a great few days at Paris fashion week, mentally kicking off my heels, my job I suddenly realised was not done. For there standing at the counter in the news agent was the strolling bone himself Ronnie Wood, 62, and his young girlfriend Ekaterina 20. Ahhh. Red alert. Paris, the city of love and high fashion, and these two, a couple on the brink? What was it he was buying for her at the shop - turns out it was a bag full of lovely smelly L'Occitane products. As they strolled off, her in her sunglasses and Ronnie Wood for Liberty silk print scarf, him carrying her little floral holdall like a true rock 'n roller (!), I noticed his big burly minder was carrying an M&S suit bag - does Ronnie wear M&S???

Ohhhh but is Ekaterina into her gossip and cooking like the rest of us? She came back to the newsagent (without le Ronnie) and after searching all the magazines snapped up Jamei Oliver's cooking mag and Closer. So I bought a copy of Closer to see what all the fuss was about - and I wondered how she felt reading the article about herself and Ronnie in a which a relationship expert analysed their body language in two snaps of them

How to find a Perfect Pair of Jeans

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 04:33 AM PDT

It can take at least three hours of changing room trauma to buy a pair of jeans. But a host of new advice services promise to deliver the perfect fit - and fast. Lifestyle measures them up:

There is no garment more at the mercy of fashion: nothing that defines you as chic, chav or cheap more than the jeans you wear.

There is no other piece of clothing that induces so much stress when it comes to tracking down the ones that fit the fashion remit of the day, flatter your bum and make your legs look long and slim. And we're apparently prepared to go to great lengths to find the perfect pair.

According to a survey last year by Which? magazine, the average person spends twice as long shopping around for the right pair of jeans as they do choosing a current account - almost 40 per cent of those surveyed spent up to three hours choosing jeans.

And with a trendy new denim label launching almost every week, keeping track of what's hot and what's not is like trying to keep up with Kate Moss's love life. Skinny or straight? Bootcut or baggy? Grey or indigo? High-waist or hipster? Designer or High Street?

The truth, of course, is that it's a very personal choice: take into account your budget and your body shape and you'll narrow your options considerably. Jeans were originally created by Levi Strauss for the gold prospectors of the American Mid-West and not everyone wants to spend £200 on a garment many people consider to be 'workmanlike'. And if you really want the status of a Stella McCartney label (£250) or True Religion's Joey Big T jeans (£435), you will pay handsomely for the privilege.

In fact, the most expensive jeans in the world, designed by Italian Giovanni Cavagna, are £29,000 and are made from a specially-engineered denim woven with a thread drawn from pure platinum. But for those who don't boast the budget of a footballer's wife, Primark is shifting squillions of pairs of its £12 jeans to savvy fashionistas, while Hennes denim range is walking out of stores at £29.99 a pop.

Cheap Monday's narrow-leg £40 jeans are so elusive they are changing hands for £70 a pair on eBay, while hundreds of Topshop's Baxter jeans (£39) are sold every day. So insatiable is our search for the perfect pair of jeans that savvy retailers have come up with tailor-made services which aim to take the pain out of the process. After all, wouldn't it be better if it took 30 minutes, not three hours?

There are personal shoppers at Liberty, and Selfridges offers a state-of-the-art body-scanning machine which will apparently create the ultimate personalised jeans for your figure. And there's even a website dedicated to the hunt for the perfect jeans - simply give your measurements, body type and budget and www.ilovejeans.com will suggest the best brand for you.

Sounds too good to be true? That's what we thought. So Lifestyle sent five desperate denim hunters to track down their perfect match using some of the services on offer:

ONLINE AGONY AUNT

WHERE: www.ilovejeans.com. Free service to find your ideal brand. Camilla says:

THE ISSUE: I'm addicted to 7 For All Mankind jeans as they fit me and are comfortable, which is the most important thing given that I wear jeans almost every day. But as a denim addict, I'm always looking for a new label or style.

Being 5ft 4in, I often find jeans are too long and I've had many a pair that shrank in the wash, which then made them too short to wear with heels. I also don't like low-cut jeans that show too much 'muffin top' but I find high-waisters unflattering on the bottom.

THE EXPERIENCE: The website is easy to use. You can find your 'bodytype' in just five questions and the guide will then tell you which labels are best for your figure. You can then go into 'Jeans Finder' where you determine your price range and size details. And, if you're still stuck, then the 'Ask the Stylist' section allows you to do just that or read solutions to other frequently asked questions.

Once you've done the initial 'Bodytype' test there is a lot of information to sift through before you get to what you want to know - which brand! If you've got time to research all the labels suggested, it is extremely informative.

RESULT: I tried two labels recommended for my body shape. One was very low-cut which, having been told I needed a hipster, I thought would be flattering but wasn't - muffin top in view.

The other label, Paige, had a higher waistband which felt more comfortable and looked better. They were a perfect fit; the length was just right for heels. My only complaint was that I couldn't buy them directly from the website. I then needed to find a stockist and go out to buy them.

THE PERSONAL SHOPPER

WHERE: Liberty's department store, Regent Street, London W1, 020 7734 1234. Service free. Kitty says:

THE ISSUE: At only 5ft (and half an inch) my quest for the perfect jeans has been endless and unfulfilling. As a teenager, while my friends were pouring their fledgling curves into Miss Sixty denim I could wear only Tammy Girl - for aged ten.

I am now a curvy size 8/10 but my bottom seems to either get swallowed or flattened in all my jeans and, with legs this short, nothing fits properly.

To date, I have about 15 pairs of jeans languishing in my bottom drawer. Juicy and Diesel look odd because I had to lop 5in off the bottom, Topshop petites are too short for high heels. I love skinnies but just can't find any to suit.

THE EXPERIENCE: I was seen by chief expert Maxine De Burnay who appraised my body shape in a nanosecond and rushed off to collect armfuls of jeans.

They stock six different brands, but taking into account the different fits (up to eight per brand) and washes, they have hundreds of pairs to choose from.

She suggested the Superfines in light grey and although I had told her I was a size 27, she came back with a size 25. They fitted perfectly. Even the length was OK as these are supposed to ruche over the heels and be worn with high shoes.

The high waist held in my tummy and my bottom looked pert. I still wasn't utterly convinced - being used to trying on at least 50 pairs of jeans before finding a fit - so I tried on a few more before eventually settling on the first one.

THE RESULT: I loved my new jeans, but what would my flatmate and boyfriend think? The boyfriend likes them - anything clinging is OK by him. The flatmate is going to see Maxine at Liberty as soon as possible.

Superfine jeans, £130.

THE DENIM OBSESSIVE

WHERE: Start boutique, Rivington Street, Hoxton, East London EC2, www.start-london.com, 020 7729 3334. Service free. Deborah says:

THE ISSUE: With legs that aren't quite long enough, hips that I would love to shave an inch from and a bottom that just about squeezes into size 29 jeans (I sometimes need a wire coat hanger to push in the pockets as my fingers won't fit), my hunt revolves around finding jeans that will make me look thinner.

Since a stylist told me all skinny jeans make me look wider, I've slunk back to boring bootcuts. Will I ever be in fashion again?

THE EXPERIENCE: Enter the Start boutique and the first thing I see is the daunting shelves of folded denim at the back - eight brands, and dozens of washes and fits. But the staff, who look amazing in even the most difficult-to-wear styles, are so passionate that fears are allayed.

Apparently, I can wear skinny, but should go for a style that isn't quite so fitted on the ankle to give balance. They recommended I fold the hem up to the knee (the cut begins below the knee) to gauge and compare widths.

The store aims to find your perfect fit in three tries or under. I am dispatched to the changing room with straight jeans from Acne and Ernest Sewn skinnies - plus, seduced by the pretty pockets, a pair of Grass jeans I chose myself.

THE RESULT: The Ernest Sewn Harlan cigarette jeans in dark blue were the best. The subtle darker shading down the inner and outer thigh is a slimming device that doesn't resort to aggressive fades.

The back pockets have curved white stitching to give the illusion of a perter and smaller bottom, and the back is cut higher than the front, so despite the low-waisted feel, the jeans cover the dreaded muffin top and stop knickers appearing above the waistband. My legs looked 4in longer, and the same amount thinner.

THE BODY IMAGING SERVICE

WHERE: Bodymetrics at Selfridges, London, www.bodymetrics.com, 0870 086 9059, Anabel says:

THE ISSUE: I dream of being able to sling on a pair of jeans and a top and look casually elegant. But I have never found a pair that I like.

I have ten or more styles hanging in my cupboard and each one makes me feel body-insecure in a different way. I am a jeans size 27/28, but have a small waist and a chunky bottom and thighs - in other words, the classic pear shape, so either the leg is too tight or the waistband too loose. I want a pair of jeans that fit, but also look hip enough to see me through from day to night.

THE EXPERIENCE: Launched in 2004, Bodymetrics scans your body electronically to measure its exact contours. It then claims you can create your own pair of designer jeans, tailored to fit, with flattering pockets and seams.

Standing inside the high-tech imaging pod, wearing only my bra and knickers, and with legs and arms stretched out to the sides, I felt like an extra on Blake's Seven. But those rays of light took more than 200 body measurements in just over five seconds.

Following the scan, I was presented with an array of denim colours and washes. Would I like skinny fit, bootleg or straight? Low, medium or high-rise on the waist? Designer (cult LA brand Serfontaine and Tristan Webber jeans can both be made to measure) or own brand?

I was further measured by hand to find out leg length and waist to crotch length which the machine can't judge. Your jeans will be personalised with your name, and measurements are stored on the computer if you want to re-order.

THE RESULT: A few weeks later a beautifully packaged pair of jeans arrived in the post. I had plumped for own-brand in a dark denim with a low-rise waist and straight cut. They fitted perfectly. Even though the waistband was low-rise, these clung snugly on the hips which meant I didn't show half my bottom every time I leaned over.

The dark wash - though not my favourite - was slimming, the length just as I wanted and the carefully placed pockets did make my bottom look more pert. My embroidered initials on the front pocket felt a bit Eighties Dallas, so I wouldn't call these cutting-edge, but, apart from that, I was nicely surprised.

Bodymetrics jeans, £250 including scan, fitting and delivery.

THE HIGH STREET

WHERE: Gap Style Expert in 27 stores across the UK. To find your nearest store, call 0800 427 789. Lucy says:

THE ISSUE: When I'm not at work, I live in jeans. I probably have about 15 pairs and I wear them all. Some are a lot more casual than others, but with all of them, smart or casual, I will only wear wedges or heels.

I have never been able to find a pair I can wear with flats - the shoe of the season. I have rather short legs, 30in, and jeans tend to accentuate this.

THE EXPERIENCE: Gap offers a Style Expert service, a one-to-one personal consultation - like your best friend but even better. They're up on the latest fashion trends and will give you advice on what's hot, what's not and, more importantly, what works best for you.

Gap is known for its vast and rather daunting selection of denim - around 12 styles which then come in different washes and fits. But the expert is on hand to help find your favourite denim fit with ease.

Before your appointment, you ring ahead to let them know your size, as well as any preferences on the type of jean (skinny, bootcut, straight, etc) you like and what you want the jeans to do for you.

When I arrived, I was whisked off to the VIP fitting room, where I was faced with a large rail of jeans, all in my size!

We patiently worked through each style and colour - my expert gave honest advice and top tips as to how I should wear each pair.

Skinny jeans were a big no-no, and she wasn't afraid to say so - she was honest and brutal, I loved it. After 15 minutes I struck gold. From the beginning she thought Long and Lean in ankle length would be best for what I was after. And she was right.

THE RESULT: The fit was great, they hugged my waist in a comfortable, non-muffin-top way and the length was perfect - just skimming the ground, so would work perfectly with flats. And despite being ankle-length, the style and dark denim wash made my legs appear longer, without having to wear tower-high heels.

Gap Long and Lean, £39.50 ? bargain!
