How to create a subtask?

I'm trying to create a subtask for the task, but I don't know how to do it. No buttons in the interface I have not found. I want to create something like this - Example

I thought the problem is in the version, but I can remove subtasks from search criteria. Therefore, subtasks are supported ) 

Maybe it's in the settings, or maybe just in me )

The user interface/workflow is not nice, but at least possible. It opens the newtask-form/page with parameter supertask=1234 added.  ( ?do=newtask&project=1&supertask=1234 )

Poor of course, that there isn't any button to do this. I'm going to use this method. Thanks for the help and info!

The button is there (see screenshot). The flow is: Navigate the main task, click 'Quick Actions', click 'Add new sub task', fill the new task form and submit ==> A new task with the parent_id is created.
Except in the address bar(URL) there is no indication to see that this new task form then has automatically the parent_id saved too. (bad UI)
