ruby logs to log collector

i need to forward ruby application logs(/testapp/logs/staging.log) to log collector but is there any predefined sample format for this or we can check how can we define this.what thing gem or file change we need?

If you want to forward logs to fluentd directly,

you can use fluent-logge-ruby: http://docs.fluentd.org/articles/ruby

Or if you want to collect logs from log file,

you can use built-in in_tail plugin: http://docs.fluentd.org/articles/in_tail

actually i want to forward the log to log collector then upload to s3 i think we can use in_tail command.
