$.browser is not an object

HI everyone,
I am new to flot charts, I am using them in one of my projects. I am plot a pie chat with timeIntervals using setInterval() of jquery, I dont know why , but I am getting this error , js/plugins/flot/jquery.flot.pie.js @408: TypeError: Result of expression '$.browser' [undefined] is not an object.
Can anyone direct me in correct way, if I am doing anything wrong.
