stock price and volume chart

I would like to learn to draw this kind of chart , e.g. http://www.analystz.hk/trade/stock-volume-profile.php

Volume traded at specific price : horizontal bar

closing Price : line chart

Y-axis: Price

X-axis: Date

Interactive function: mouse pointer on specific line could show the figure on that date (blue red and black) of the top right hand legend.

I have data in JSON format queryed from mySQL server. Please help.

this chart is powered by Flot. www.flotcharts.org

Anyway this is a line chart and bar chart, nothing really hard with D3. You may begin with some D3 tutorial...

Perhaps breaking it down into distinct graph elements... just as you have outlined.

Have you written the code to build the basic rectangular box?
