Hi,

I have tried several times to pass an email address entered by a user in the text field of a Google form to the Ultradox email building block.

My set up is:

(a) Google form with several text fields, the last of which is call "Your email address".

(b) The Ultradox trigger add-on has been attached. It confirms the each text field can have variable name which can be used as a placeholder.

(c) The variable for the last text field that I have chosen for the "Your email address" text field is "${email}".

(d) All the variables are then passed to a Google template using the relevant placeholder.

(e) Going the Ultradoc containing the building blocks. The first block loads the form data - all of the variables in the form are shown. The second block is the Google template doc to .pdf - all of the variables used in the template are shown. The third block is the email which sends the attached .pdf file - it has one variable, which is ${email}. This is used in the "TO" field of the plain text email form.

Running the form:

(a) The form is sent with the responses - confirmed by Google responses.

(b) The .pdf is generated with the responses substituted for the placeholders in the Google template doc.

(c) The pdf is emailed - but NOT to the email address given in the form (i.e. the address is ignored for the purposes of the email despite the ${email} placeholder.

The email is simply sent to the default email address for Ultradox, which is the gmail address used in the email form for the sender. Note also that if the ${email} placeholder is put in the Google template doc, then the .pdf which is generated does show the email address given in the form, so that information is being loaded from the form into the Ultradoc. Its just not being picked up in the email building block. Tried this using different email addresses with the same result - everything works except the ,pdf gets sent to the default email address, not the recipient's email address given in the form.

I gather from reading other posts in the forum that others have had similar issues with passing email addresses. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Resolution: Test mode has been enabled (green icon in main toolbar). In test mode all mails will be sent to the user instead of the recipients.
Disabling test mode fixed the issue.

I'm having similar problems.  I would like an email to be sent to recipients entered into a survey automatically after the forms are submitted.  Testing works fine and the email is sent to me when.  However when I try to run it not in test with email address I'm using to test them, the emails are never received.  I'm putting ${email1);${email2);${email3);${email4);etc as recipients for the email, however the email is never sent to those designated recipient email.  Any help would be very appreciated.  Thanks!
