Basic table filtering is not working

If you look at the attached screenshot, you can see that the very simple workflow of opening and reading a google sheet and then filtering the data via a table filter produces an error

The script Filter rows failed with error: TypeError: Cannot call method "filter" of undefined.

Is anyone able to use the filtering on tables?
